Maintenance Day Care

Supporting seniors with full-day activities that keep them physically active and socially engaged.

About Maintenance Day Care

We understand the worries that come with frailty, physical impairments and social isolation in loved ones, especially when balancing work and family commitments.

At PCF Sparkle Care, our Maintenance Day Care service provides seniors with meaningful full-day activities that encourage them to stay physically active, socially engaged, and connected with others. Programmes are planned with inputs from seniors, caregivers, and our dedicated care team, including AHPC-registered therapists, nurses, and care specialists.

With support from our dedicated care team, families can enjoy greater peace of mind knowing their loved ones are cared for in a safe and supportive environment.

What we offer for our
Maintenance Day Care

Physical Exercises

Our clients enjoy group physical games, music, movement sessions, and strengthening exercises to maintain or improve their physical agility. It’s all about staying active and healthy!

Intergenerational Programmes

Our intergenerational programmes bring the young and old together to create bonds that warm the heart. The programmes can energise the seniors by giving them a sense of purpose as they share their experiences and skills, and reduce their sense of isolation. The programmes also help the younger generation appreciate the older generation, and encourage bonding among all.

Social and Recreational Activities

We ensure our clients have opportunities to take part in fun activities. From karaoke to arts and craft, and from dancing to sewing, we create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone.

Field Trips

We believe in learning beyond the centre’s walls. That’s why we regularly organise field trips to places like Horticulture Park, Singapore Botanical Gardens and Sembawang Hot Spring Park.

Medication Management

We are here to help your loved ones understand the importance of taking medication regularly and attending regular health check-ups.

Our Signature Programmes

PCF Sparkle Care’s programmes* are guided by a structured framework designed to support seniors’ overall well-being. Activities are thoughtfully organised across five key domains: physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and learning, ensuring a balanced and holistic experience.

These programmes bring the five domains to life through purposeful activities, supporting seniors to stay active, engaged, and connected in meaningful ways.

*Programmes may vary across different centres.

Sparkle Shop

Sparkle Shop

Sparkle Shop pairs seniors from our Maintenance Day Care and Dementia Day Care services through meaningful shopkeeping activities that help them stay active, engaged, and socially connected.

Participating seniors take the lead as shopkeepers, handling real money, managing transactions, and welcoming customers, including children and students. These meaningful interactions help support memory, focus, and confidence, while fostering intergenerational connections.

Sparkle Choice

Sparkle Choice

Sparkle Choice empowers seniors with the freedom to participate in activities based on their individual interests, preferences and strengths. As they participate, seniors earn rewards along the way, making the experience as motivating as it is enjoyable.

Sparkle Bakes

Sparkle Bakes

Sparkle Bakes harnesses the sensory and social power of baking as a therapeutic and community-building activity. Seniors collaborate to bake cookies, sparking memories, stimulating cognitive function, and fostering social bonds.

It is designed to allow seniors to feel engaged, bringing “sweet moments” and a sense of pride to their daily routine, allowing them to share their creations with the community.

Stories that Sparkle

How Mdm Chua rebuilt her confidence after an accident

Before 2022, Mdm Chua led an active lifestyle and worked part-time as a van escort, caring for young children on their journey to and from school. A road traffic incident that year brought unexpected changes to her daily life and left her wheelchair-bound for a period of time.

Later that year, she joined PCF Sparkle Care @ Serangoon, where the care team supported her through daily routines, rehabilitation, and centre activities. With consistent encouragement and care, she slowly began rebuilding her confidence and adapting to a new routine.

Over time, she made steady progress in both her strength and mobility. As her physical condition improved, so did her outlook on life. She became more confident in participating in activities, spending time with others, and encouraging herself throughout her recovery journey.

By 2024, Mdm Chua had regained her independence and was once again able to move around confidently on her own.

Today, she continues to stay active and looks forward to each day with renewed confidence and positivity.
